PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter device for a water tank of aquarium fish brought to have beauty effect in the water tank and to widely use the water tank, and enhanced in filtration efficiency of an air-lift type filter of the water tank of aquarium fish. SOLUTION: The filter device is constituted by installing a filtration chamber having a filter medium on the opening of the water tank for aquarium fish or bringing the chamber to be installed, forming an air stone for generating bubbles for air-lift on a lid installed in the upper part of the filtration chamber, installing a pipe for passing the bubbles generated in the air stone to a waterweed bowl installed on the bottom of the tank, installing the air stone in the air guide pipe installed in the waterweed bowl, pumping up water in the lower part of the water tank by the air stone installed to the lid of the filtration chamber and by the air bubble guide pipe installed to the waterweed bowl, filtering the water through the filter medium in the filtration chamber and returning filtered water to the water tank.
