The crystalline state of a protein solution is judged. A method for judging the crystalline state of a protein solution through analysis using an observed electronic image about the protein solution is disclosed. The method makes a judgment on a sample of a protein solution by applying an original image capturing step S42, an original image matrix calculating step S44, an original image statistical amount calculating step S46, an image differentiating step S48, a differentiated image matrix calculating step S50, a differentiated image statistical amount calculating step S52, a first judging step S54, and a second judging step S54.
