<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of equalizing the linear velocities of a transferred medium and image carriers to each other without being influenced by rotation unevenness when an image is transferred from each image carrier to the transferred medium such as an intermediate transfer body as a color image forming apparatus having a plurality of image carriers. <P>SOLUTION: An image carrier 1 and respective driving means 100 are connected by a coupling 150. THe coupling comprises an image-carrier side coupling 130 and a driving-means side coupling 120, and a rotary shaft 110 penetrates the both. A through hole 111 is bored in the rotary shaft 110 and a pin 125 is inserted into the through hole 111 and loosely fitted in a oblong hole 124 bored in the driving-means side coupling 120. Further, the driving-means side coupling 120 and rotary shaft 110 are loosely engaged. Since the coupling has play through the loose engagement to reduce the rotation unevenness of the image carrier 1, the image carrier 1 and intermediate transfer body 6 rotate always at the same linear velocity. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
