PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively produce a titanium aluminide turbine rotor combined with a steel shaft for a turbosupercharger. SOLUTION: The turbine/rotor assembly is fabricated by attaching a molding comprising a titanium aluminide powder and a binder to a pre-molded steel shaft while leaving a space therebetween, and sintering the assemblage.
