PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holding mechanism formed in a simple structure and capable of being easily assembled. SOLUTION: A twist grip shift control device 10 for a bicycle using parallel gears comprises a base member 14 for mounting it on the bicycle, a twist grip operating member 18 rotatably supported on the base member 14 for rotating around a rotating axis in the first and second directions, a transmission control member 22 rotatably installed on the base member 14 for rotating around an axis substantially parallel with the rotating axis of the operating member 18 in response to rotation of the operating member 18, and an intermediate member 34 having an intermediate member detent part 82 axially moving in response to rotation of the operating member 18.
