PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To certainly prevent the continuous occurrence of compression molding failure by detecting a case that a synthetic resin material (34) is not properly supplied to the required region of a female mold member (10) to stop the operation of a compression molding machine by an appropriate mode and to certainly avoid the damage of the compression molding machine, especially the mold means (4) thereof. SOLUTION: A detection means (44), which detects whether the synthetic resin material is properly supplied into the female mold member, is arranged at the detection position (B) set between the synthetic resin material supply position (A) and closing movement completing position (D) in the endless route (8) of a mold means.
