PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel capable of rapidly and stably executing writing discharge, and of reducing power consumption. SOLUTION: Each data electrode 32 is so formed that the width of the data electrode 32 in an area where the data electrode 32 and a priming electrode 36 are faced to each other is set smaller than that of the data electrode 32 in an area where the data electrode 32 and the priming electrode 36 are not faced to each other; and each priming electrode 36 is so formed that the width of the priming electrode 36 in an area where the data electrode 32 and the priming electrode 36 is faced to each other is set smaller than that of the priming electrode 36 in an area where the data electrode 32 and the priming electrode 36 are not faced to each other.
