PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bus driver that enables an effective microprocessor system design by driving a plurality of buses with a single sign extender via a bus selection circuit. SOLUTION: The bus driver includes a control logic unit for generating and outputting given control signals and bus selection signals, a byte rotator for dividing data from a data source into byte units and changing the sequence of the divided data according to a byte operation before outputting them, the sign extender controlled by the control signals to output data selected by the byte operation out of the data input from the byte rotator and extending the unselected data to a given sign value before outputting them, and the bus selection circuit controlled by the bus selection signals to select a given bus among a plurality of buses and load the selected bus with the data input from the sign extender.
