PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display unit, which can prevent the display unit from making an error action because an external command transmitted from an outside of the display unit is not reflected on indication of the display unit. SOLUTION: The display unit comprises a signal line for transmitting a write protect signal WC9, which connects an exterior unit of CPU 1 and an interface controller IC2, as well as a signal line for transmitting a chip select signal SCS10, each of which has a function for bidirectional communication. The CPU 1 has a NAND circuit 15, the signal of which is transmitted from the NAND circuit 15 and functions as a switch SW14 to make transmissions of a command signal from the CPU 1 on or off.
