PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cryogenic liquid heating method and its device capable of accurately heating cryogenic liquid with a wide range of a flow rate at 0°C or higher in a simple device structure. SOLUTION: In the cryogenic liquid heating method, a heat exchanger 10 is used wherein numerous heat transfer tubes 12 are folded back from an upward portion to a downward portion inside a lateral-type, exterior body 11, cryogenic liquid Wa such as ammonia flows from an upper heat transfer tube 12a, and the cryogenic liquid is heated to 0°C or more through a lower heat transfer tube 12b by supplying condensable heating liquid Ws such as steam into the exterior body 11. A phase of condensed liquid 28 of heating liquid and a gaseous phase G are formed in the exterior body 11. Pressure of the gaseous phase G is controlled at plus-side gage pressure by supplying inert gas Wn such as nitrogen gas into the exterior body 11, even though partial pressure of the heated fluid in the gaseous phase G is turned into minus-side gage pressure.
