PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for positively and efficiently removing efflorescence on a pavement block surface. SOLUTION: This method is based on washing the efflorescence away with water utilizing the fact that a substance of efflorescence changes into a water soluble solution by reacting on an efflorescence remover 2 (hydrochloric acid based). In the method, a water absorbing sheet is impregnated with the efflorescence remover 2 (liquid), and an efflorescence part of a pavement block 1 is covered with the water absorbing sheet. After the lapse of an appropriate time, the water absorbing sheet 4 is removed, and sufficient washing with water is performed. On a part hard to remove, the work is repeated again. As to a severe part of efflorescence, after it is covered with the water absorbing sheet 4, the efflorescence remover 2 is added by a watering pot or the like. On a part with a large efflorescence removal area, there are a method of covering the pavement block surface with the water absorbing sheet 4 and then allowing the efflorescence remover 2 to be sucked therein by the watering pot or the like to remove efflorescence, and a method of sprinkling the efflorescence remover 2 on the surface of the pavement block 1 and then covering it with the water absorbing sheet 4 to remove efflorescence.
