PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems that it is troublesome to manufacture a book combined with an appendix using various kinds of conventional technique and the content of a main volume looks unpresentable or the book looks unpresentable when separated from the appendix for the reasons of a manufacturing process. SOLUTION: In this method for manufacturing a book combined with an appendix, an adhesive which is releasable and non-sticky after release is applied to the adhesive surface of a pasteboard 12 or signature which becomes a part of the content 11 of the main volume 10 and that of a separate volume 1. Next, the pasteboard 12 or the signature and the separate volume 1 are stuck together at a position where the spine of the separate volume 1 is isolated from the spine of the pasteboard 12 or the signature, then the pasteboard 12 or the signature and the separate volume 1 thus stuck together are gathered together with the other signature and a cover is attached to these gathered book members to complete a bookbinding process. In this process, finally the separate volume 1 is stuck to one sheet of the main volume 10 as a finished product. Consequently, the bookbinding process is automated and damage such as break or crease is prevented from occurring in a three-side finish cutting process of the main volume 10. Besides, even after the removal of the separate volume 1, the main volume 10 stays in a normal state and the sheets of the main volume 10 can be prevented from falling away.
