PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot stamping device which can increase a hot stamping rate. SOLUTION: In the hot stamping device which feeds a sheet (3) to which a foil is transferred and a foil sheet (4) superposed over each other into between a cylindrical hot stamping barrel (6) and a cylindrical impression barrel (7) and thermally presses both sheets (3) and (4) by rotating both barrels (6) and (7) so that the sheet (3) is hot-stamped, the sheet (3) and the foil sheet (4) are preheated separately before both sheets (3) and (4) find their way into between both barrels (6) and (7). In addition, not only a thermal fusion-bonding adhesive (4d) and a release agent (4b) of the foil sheet (4) are previously melted but also the sheet (3) is heated beforehand so as to facilitate the fusion-bonding of the thermal fusion-bonding adhesive (4d) and the releasing of the release agent (4b). After that, both sheets (3) and (4) are fed into between both barrels (6) and (7) and thermally pressed by both barrels (6) and (7). Consequently, it is possible to properly transfer the foil, even when the rotating velocity of both barrels (6) and (7) is increased and increase the hot stamping throughput.
