PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hanging bag intended for plant raising and greening through hanging the hanging bag of continuous small bags each containing a planting material and fertilizer to a high place such as a fence, a wall and the edge of the eaves where flower pots cannot be placed. SOLUTION: This rectangular hanging bag having a front and a back each made of a plastic sheet and a heat-sealed periphery is divided into at least two small bags by heat sealing in the longitudinal or horizontal direction. Each of the divided small bags is filled with the planting material with not more than 1 wt. % of tannin brought by pressing and cutting flesh of fruit of palm followed by subjecting to a detannin treatment, and formulated with slow-acting fertilizer. Furthermore, the small bag is set with a tear as a planting hole, soaked in enough water to let the planting material absorb water, and set with at least one drain hole on the corner of the bottom end to drain water. A seedling of a plant is planted permanently in the planting hole and one heat-sealed side of the hanging bag is hung down at a high place. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
