<p>A retractable flood barrier has a sub-surface foundation unit with a vertical slit for two parallel panels (12, 14) that are lifted from the retracted position to an extended position by a drive unit. Each set of panels is located between upright profiled posts and when extended form a watertight barrier. The panels are extended sequentially, the second panel following the first panel when the latter has reached the halfway point.</p> |
