PURPOSE: A power supply for an RTC(Real Time Clock) supplying device using voltage applied through the USB(Universal Serial Bus) and a method for verifying time information of the RTC supplying device are provided to supply stable power without needing an expensive charge-typed battery or a high capacity capacitor. CONSTITUTION: A main power supply(110) supplies main power for driving an electronic device and supplies a part of the main power to an RTC(151) by converting the main power into a predetermined electric potential level. A serial bus voltage converter(120) is connected to a computer(200) to perform serial communication and applies the power to the RTC by receiving the voltage from the serial bus line and converting it into the predetermined electric potential level. A non-volatile memory(160) stores the time information counted in the RTC for each time interval. An MPU(Micro Processor Unit)(150) confirms operation continuity of the RTC by comparing a time difference between the time information supplied from the RTC and stored in the non-volatile memory.
