PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for simultaneously and efficiently modifying the characteristics of protein.

SOLUTION: This method for simultaneously and efficiently modifying the characteristics of the protein comprises utilizing the ambiguous additivity of characteristic changes caused by the mutation of amino acid residues in the amino acid sequence of the protein and repeating mutation/selection, while using a plurality of characteristics as indexes.
