摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal recording material with high thermal stability, and excellent in preservility in raw state and in whiteness of non-imaging part (ground skin part). <P>SOLUTION: The thermal recording material comprises a diazonium salt and a coupler on a substrate, wherein the diazonium salt is at least one compound selected from compounds expressed by general formulae (1) and (2), and a thermal recording layer comprises at least one kind of acylphosphine oxide compounds containing a structure (1). In the formulae, R<SP>1</SP>-R<SP>2</SP>are each an alkyl group, an aryl group or an aralkyl group; R<SP>3</SP>-R<SP>6</SP>are each a hydrogen atom or a monovalent substituent, but at least one of R<SP>3</SP>-R<SP>6</SP>is -N<SB>2</SB><SP>+</SP>X<SP>-</SP>; R<SP>7</SP>-R<SP>8</SP>are each an alkyl group or an aryl group; R<SP>9</SP>-R<SP>12</SP>are each a hydrogen atom or a monovalent substituent, but at least one of R<SP>9</SP>-R<SP>12</SP>is -N<SB>2</SB><SP>+</SP>X<SP>-</SP>; and X<SP>-</SP>is a counter anion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
