PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide imaging apparatus which can operate in manual focusing mode immediately after operating in automatic focusing mode and is easily handleable and convenient for a user. SOLUTION: A digital camera 1 has a slide part 6e which is disposed selectively at a 1st position, a 2nd position, or a 3rd position and energized from the 3rd position to the 2nd position, and is equipped with a selection means 6 of selecting the control signal generated by an AF control means 19 when the slide part 6e is disposed at the 1st position or 3rd position and the control signal generated by an MF operating means 5 when the slide part 6e is disposed at the 2nd position.
