PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thumb-turn device having a locking-unlocking mechanism provided with a crime-prevention function preventing unauthorized unlocking by turning a thumb-turn from the outside of a door, by which device unauthorized unlocking cannot be conducted, while a thumb-turn knob is always kept attached. SOLUTION: Pressing operation of operational buttons 19, 20 allows the thumb-turn knob 15 to move. Under the state of this allowance, the thumb-turn knob 15 is moved forward to disconnect clutches (18a, 151a) and to separate an interlocking system of the thumb-turn knob 15 and a shaft 18 to set it into a crime-prevention mode.
