PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moving image meta-data automatic creating apparatus for automatically imparting meta-data to a moving image. SOLUTION: The moving image data meta-data automatic creating apparatus comprises: a moving image input means for inputting moving image data including audio data; an audio separating means for extracting audio data and time information on moving image data wherein the audio data are recorded, from moving image data; audio recognition dictionary wherein phrases specifying spatial positions on the moving image and phrases to become meta-data are registered beforehand; an audio recognizing means which recognizes audio data by referring to the audio recognition dictionary to separately extract a phrase specifying a spatial position on the moving image and a phrase to become meta-data from the audio data and to convert them into character data; and a meta-data storage means which relatively stores the spatial position on the moving image, the character data of the phrase to be the meta-data and the time information as meta-data.
