PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a frame for spectacles having a hue and a pattern to which a feeling of quality is given, and spectacles using the frame. SOLUTION: The frame of the spectacles is characterized by providing a 1st image pattern previously and painting a 2nd image pattern having 5 to 500μm thickness which is comparatively thick as compared with the film thickness of the 1st image pattern as the 2nd image pattern in a framed part at the part of the 1st image pattern by a manual method. The 1st image pattern is provided by a printing method, and the manual method is a dispenser method by a syringe or a hand-painting method by a brush. Then, paint or ink for painting the 2nd image pattern has viscosity (ν) 5 to 20 (×10<SP>-7</SP>m<SP>2</SP>/s), and the surface of the 2nd image pattern is wrinkled or made to present a cavity state. In the frame of the spectacles, at least one hue of the 1st or the 2nd image pattern is provided by applying the paint or the ink in which metallic powder, pearly powder or a fluorescent agent is mixed.
