PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption by placing a driving voltage generating circuit in operation only for an arbitrary time in one vertical period corresponding to a display area and supplying its generated voltage to a display device. SOLUTION: Provided are: the driving voltage generating circuit 201 which supplies at least one of a voltage driving a source driver, a voltage driving a gate driver, and a voltage driving a liquid crystal display panel in a display period of one horizontal scanning period consisting of the display period and a non-display period, and stops supplying the voltage in the non-display period; and a capacitor connected to the driving voltage generating circuit.
