PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retroreflective optical screen made efficient and bright by reducing its angle dependency and an observation device using the same. SOLUTION: In the retroreflective optical screen 10 where a plurality of linear V groove-shaped reflection surfaces 1 are arranged nearly in parallel on a plane so as to provide retroreflective action, each of the reflection surfaces 1 is composed of two planes 2 and 3 orthogonal to each other on a cross section orthogonal to the ridge line 4 of a V groove, and the planes 2 and 3 of each of the reflection surfaces 1 are arranged so that a light beam is made incident on the corresponding reflection surface 1 along the bisected phase 5 of an angle formed by two planes 2 and 3 of each of the reflection surfaces 1.
