PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide gasoline with which the exhaust gas cleanup capability of vehicles can be maintained for a long time. SOLUTION: This gasoline contains (1) not more than 2 ppm by mass of manganese, (2) not more than 2 ppm by mass of iron, (3) not more than 2 ppm by mass of sodium, (4) not more than 2 ppm by mass of potassium, and (5) not more than 2 ppm by mass of phosphorus.
