PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a phenomenon in which residual detergent accumulates in a space for positioning a heater or a specific space, suppress the unnecessary wash water from being supplied to the washing machine to the minimum and quickly heat the laundry before the washing for efficiently washing the laundry. SOLUTION: This washing method for the washing machine performs a step of heating the wash water supplied inside the washing machine and generating the steam, a step of jetting the generated steam to the laundry inside the drum 140 in the washing machine and, after jetting the steam to the laundry, a step of turning the drum 140 and washing the laundry sequentially.
