摘要 Information of an object can be measured. from remote points in order to specify a position in an arbitrary space by human control. An object information sensing apparatus (5) measures information of objects (4, 4', and 4"), which configure at least one pointing device (1, 1' and 1"), in order to specify a position in an arbitrary space by human control from remote points. The object information sensing apparatus (5) includes generation units (6 and 7) for generating and radiating electromagnetic waves, a delay unit (10) for temporally delaying electromagnetic waves, and a unit (8) for detecting electromagnetic waves. A delay time is found by using a generated electromagnetic wave (14), an electromagnetic wave (15) that is reflected from the objects (4, 4', and 4"), and an electromagnetic wave that is delayed by the delay unit (10). Relative relationships between the object information sensing apparatus (5) and the objects (4, 4', and 4") are thus detected.
