Operating method for direct fuel injection IC engine e.g. for automobile, with lambda regulation for individual engine cylinders simultaneous with cylinder balancing function

The engine operating method uses lambda regulation of the individual engine cylinders for obtaining the optimal lambda values for an homogenous operating mode of the engine, with simultaneous activation of the cylinder balancing function using adjustment of at least one momentary setting parameter other than the fuel injection quantity, e.g. the ignition timing angle for each engine cylinder.
