DEVELOPER FOR POSITIVE PHOTOSENSITIVE COMPOSITION

A developer for positive photosensitive composition that has development processing capacity for enduring a vast frequency of uses and exhibits less variation of pH value over a prolonged period of time, excelling in durability and that in particular has processing capacity sufficient to develop 100 or more rolls, preferably about 300 to 400 rolls so as to ensure practical use for gravure printing rolls and can minimize aging deterioration of processing capacity so as to reduce the frequency of developer replacement. This developer is comprised of an alkali aqueous solution containing (A) a hydroxylated quaternary ammonium and (B) at least one member selected from the group consisting of potassium pyrophosphate, sodium tripolyphosphate and sodium hexametaphosphate.
