PURPOSE: A system and method for providing a menu type wireless Internet service classified by an extended identifier are provided to enhance users' convenience by managing information of users' frequently used wireless Internet contents according to groups by using favorite function. CONSTITUTION: A mobile terminal(310) is provided with an extended menu type mobile contents screen including identification name of mobile Internet contents, and generates and transmits a contents select signal. A mobile communication network includes a RAN(Radio Access Network)(320) and an MSC(Mobile Station Center)(330) for transmitting/receiving the extended menu type mobile contents screen and/or the contents select signal to/from the mobile terminal(310). A wireless gateway(340) converts a format of a signal and/or data received for interfacing between the mobile communication network and the wireless Internet, and transmits the converted format. An extended menu type service server(360) generates the extended menu type mobile contents screen and transmits it to the mobile station(310) connected thereto, and in this case, the extended menu type service server(360) transmits corresponding mobile Internet contents to the mobile terminal(310) by using an identification number included in the received contents select signal. A mobile contents database(364) stores one or more mobile Internet contents classified according to an identification code corresponding to the identification number. |
