<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for providing stock capable of increasing the possibility that responds to goods delivery requirement for immediate delivery of goods to destination quickly without enlarging, in particular, stock amount at a foothold on the downstream side when transporting goods to the destination via a plurality of footholds. <P>SOLUTION: The physical distribution management device holds information indicating the relation of each foothold on a transportation path in a path information storage part 211, holds stock information indicating amount of stock capable of allowing goods delivery demand at each foothold in a stock management information storage part 212, and receives goods delivery demand including the appointed date of delivery and holds in a goods delivery demand information storage part 214 to determine whether the appointed date of delivery is immediate delivery or not in an immediate delivery determining part 252. If it is immediate delivery, a foothold immediately before the destination on the transportation path is selected in a determining part 253 as a provider so far as it has stock satisfying the goods delivery demand.
