PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable insertion/discharge of a magnetic disk device resisting to attraction force of a strong magnetic field which can erase data on a magnetic disk in a state in which it is covered by a metal case. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a converting mechanism using a ball screw 82 and a ball screw nut bracket 86 which convert the rotation of a handle 74 to translational motion of a HDD holder 76. Therefore, a hard disk device mounted on the HDD holder 76 by rotating the handle 74 is moved in a insertion and discharge direction resisting to attraction force by the magnetic field generated by a permanent magnet. rotation force may be generated by a motor.
