PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolled copper foil for a FPC, which prevents the occurrence of both corrosion discoloration and gloss unevenness; and a method for treating a copper foil. SOLUTION: The method for treating the copper foil comprises: the rolling step of rolling a copper sheet into the copper foil with the use of a rolling oil containing a 10 ppm or lower concentration of an anti-rust agent; the degreasing step of electrolytically degreasing the obtained rolled copper foil while setting it as a cathode; and the electrolytically chromating step of forming a chromium-based coating on the degreased rolled copper foil through electrolytic chromating treatment.
