PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair dye using only plant-based natural materials( coloring matters ) slight in irritancy and sensitization to human body, excellent in stability with time, i.e. fastness, and affording any color tone, easy to handle, and advantageous practically. SOLUTION: The plant-based hair dye comprises Lawsonia alba belonging to family Lythraceae and hematoxylin contained in wood or hematin from oxidized hematoxylin as the constituents. By changing the mixing ratio for these constituents, and by the mordanting operation after hair-dyed, this hair dye provides any hair color tone. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
