PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a functional accessory capable of renewing design between a rim and a hub of a tire of a bicycle or the like and designing the whole of the tire with beautiful appearance while provided with a safety function for night traveling by reflection or light emission. SOLUTION: The functional accessory for a bicycle tire is arranged between the hub and the rim of the tire and exhibiting the safety function while having an optical visual recognition function. A spherical cap made of a resin forming a spherical shape or an approximately spherical shape and having a female screw thread-provided from one part of the surface toward a center is provided and has the optical visual recognition function by formulating a light emission agent in the resin or applying a reflection material onto the surface or color thereto. A character mark is appropriately applied onto the surface of the cap and the cap is made to be a cap of a fitting for pouring air. Further, it has a base material provided with a circular or approximately circular function surface having a diameter of 35 mm or less viewing from the outside of the tire. The base material has an engagement fixing means engageable/fixtable against one spoke. It is engaged/fixed to one optional position of the spoke in the state where the function surface of the base material is outwardly directed.
