<p>In a tubular knitted product, such as a stocking, a supplementary thread closes the point near its side. The tube retracts until it forms a closed point and the closing thread is stopped so as not to reverse. The advantage is that this takes place on the circular knitting machine itself without an accumulation of yarn at the closing point.</p> |
