摘要 <p>PURPOSE: An optical pickup device, an optical disk device, and an optical pickup control method are provided to seal a hole installed on an optical pickup base plate with a semiconductor substrate and a transparent cover, and to dispose an integrated optical pickup unit on the semiconductor substrate within the sealed space, thereby realizing thinness of an optical pickup. CONSTITUTION: An integrated optical pickup unit(17) includes a semiconductor laser and an optical system, and records or reproduces a signal for an optical disk(1). A swing arm unit supports the integrated optical pickup unit(17). The swing arm unit comprises as follows. An optical pickup base plate(22) consists of a thin metal plate forming a hole in a front section. A semiconductor substrate covers the hole by being mounted on one side of the optical pickup base plate(22). A transparent cover seals the hole by being mounted on other side of the base plate. The integrated optical pickup unit(17) is disposed in a space of the hole.</p>
