CATHODE RAY TUBE INCLUDING TENSION MASK, WITH MINIMIZED LOCAL DOMING UNDER HIGH LUMINANCE DRIVING CONDITION

摘要

PURPOSE: A cathode ray tube is provided to prevent a degradation of color purity caused due to a local doming under a high luminance driving condition, by optimizing the shape of the bridge of a shadow mask and strain in X-axis and Y-axis directions. CONSTITUTION: A cathode ray tube is characterized in that the ratio of the width of a bridge to the thickness of a shadow mask is greater than 0.7 and less than 1.0 in the cross section of the bridge which connects slots formed in a vertical direction of the shadow mask. The formula ε-y>ε-x is satisfied, wherein ε-x is the tension ratio to the X-axis direction of the shadow mask and ε-y is the tension ratio to the Y-axis direction of the shadow mask.
