FIELD: aeronautical engineering; touch-down, landing and taking-off units for heavy wide-fuselage aircraft. ^ SUBSTANCE: landing gear includes bogie in fuselage compartment, shock-absorber struts, wheels and insulation mechanisms for parts of wheels projecting under fuselage. Wheels are mounted on twin shock-absorber struts rigidly mounted on bogie frame. Insulation mechanisms include front and rear drums with tapes and cables which are mounted in front and rear parts of bogie for winding and unwinding the tape and cables during preparation of aircraft for landing and in flight. Before landing and taking-off run, tape is wound on front drum. Cables are unwound; they run under fuselage between starboard and port wheels; their ends are tightened on rear drum. In flight, tape is kept under fuselage to level of lower surface of wheel protectors and cables are wound on rear drum. Extensible side doors are extended to surface of tape tightened between drums. Prior to landing flare, wheels are accelerated by rollers of accelerating mechanism located above axes of rotation of landing wheels for slackening friction of protectors against landing surface. ^ EFFECT: enhanced reliability and durability of landing gear at positive aerodynamic effect. ^ 2 cl, 4 dwg |
