<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil seal having a seal lip capable of increasing the amount of lubricating oil to be supplied to the seal lip. <P>SOLUTION: The fitting part 32 of this oil seal 20 and its seal lip 35 are installed oppositely to a holding part 33 about the axis-Z. The fitting part 32 is fitted by pressure in the internal circumferential surface 6b of a case 6, and the seal lip 35 is put in slide contact with the peripheral surface 24c of a differential shaft 24. The opening 40a of an oil passage 40 in the case 6 can be approached to the seal lip 35 in the Z-axis direction and the radial direction without being hindered by the fitting part 32, so that it is possible to increase the amount of lubricating oil supplied to the seal lip 35. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
