<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a card connector allowing a card to be easily extracted after ejecting the card from the card connector. <P>SOLUTION: This card connector 1 has: a slider 5 slidably held between a fitting position and a separating position (shown) of the card 11; a coil spring 6 for always energizing the slider toward the fitting position; and a card guide 4 for guiding the fitting and separation of the card. By sliding the slider to the separation position of the card against drag of the coil spring, the card is moved to a position allowing its separation, the card is tentatively held to a card guide and thereafter only the slider is restored to the fitting position of the card. A tab 7 is attached to the slider rotatably at 90°, and opens and closes a card insertion opening 5d. Since an obstacle article is not present in the vicinity of the rear end of the card to be grasped by a hand or fingers, the card can easily be extracted from the card connector. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
