<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a die for molding semi-molten metal which prevents the mixture of a solidified layer occurring in an injection sleeve of the semi-molten metal into a product with a simple structure without using a complicated mechanism. <P>SOLUTION: The die for molding the semi-molten metal is composed of a cavity part formed between a movable die and a fixed die, a horizontal casting type injection sleeve for injecting and filling the semi-molten metal to the cavity part, a biscuit part located in the fixed die, a projecting part constituting a part of the movable die and extended in the direction of the biscuit part, a space part for trapping and reservoiring a solidified material generated on the surface layer of the semi-molten metal to a lower area of the movable die, a solidified material trapping groove formed into the groove with a recessed shape for connecting the biscuit part and the space part to the lower part side of the projecting part, and a notched arcuate opening part located on the biscuit part side of the solidified material trapping groove and for leading the solidified material to the solidified material trapping groove. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
