<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently generate a good envelope waveform by quickly switching the waveform generating picture which indicates a portion of an envelope waveform to a picture which indicates the entire envelope waveform during the generation process of envelope data and confirming the characteristics of the waveform. <P>SOLUTION: Icons are provided to select any one of the following modes, i.e., setting 1 and setting 2 modes which are used to generate fundamental waveforms that become portion of the envelope data on a display screen and a total display mode which is used to display the entire envelope waveform by linking the envelope waveforms of the two fundamental waveforms. Since these modes are easily switched to display a desired mode, the characteristics of the total envelope waveform are quickly visualized and confirmed without providing a device which is normally required to listen to musical sound. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
