<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the defect that there is a case that the whole screen is hardly viewed if the priority is given to either one of reflection and transmission, since a liquid crystal display of a reflection and transmission common type has a reflection region and a transmission region in one pixel. <P>SOLUTION: Areas of light transmission regions of pixels playing the role in the same color or the ratios of the reflection region and the transmission region to each other are made different from each other by location in an effective screen.
