<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an angling balance whose lateral rod is bent in response to the movement of a fish to prevent the separation of the fish, when the fish is hooked. <P>SOLUTION: This angling balance 1 which has a main rod 2 in which the upper and lower ends of a metal wire are bent to form tackle-attaching portions 2a, 2b, and a branched rod 3 attached to the main rod 2 in an outward projected shape is characterized in that the rigidity of the branched rod 3 is smaller than that of the main rod so that the branched rod may be bent in response to the drawing of a fish hooked on a fishhook.
