<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the load related to processing of image detection, and allow detection processing of an image for attention, even in a device of low processing capacity such as a direct photoprinter. <P>SOLUTION: The system judges whether or not chromaticity information and luminance information, obtained for each of partial pixel areas that are compression units of compressed image data is in a range that matches a prescribed definition of the target image (S402), groups the partial pixel areas next to each other of the partial pixel areas decided as being in the range that matches the prescribed definition of the target image (S404), calculates the spatial frequency characteristics of each group (S405), decides whether the calculated spacial frequency characteristics is in a prescribed proper range of the spacial frequency characteristics of the image for attention for each of the groups (S406), and certifies the group that belongs to the target image, according to the result of the decision (S407). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
