PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device for vehicles capable of suppressing excessive turning of a turning wheel which is not expected by a driver, and performing the stable steering even when the maximum steering range of a steering member is set to be a range in which the driver need not change his hands. SOLUTION: When the set steering gear ratio (θ/δ) is not more than a predetermined value, a control means 11 increases the steering reaction force T in comparison with a case when the steering gear ratio (θ/δ) exceed the predetermined value by adding the steering reaction force T2 set based on the steering angular velocityθ' calculated from a detected value of a steering angle sensor 4 to the steering reaction force T1 calculated based on the detected values of the steering angle sensor 4 and a vehicle speed sensor 12.
