WEDGE INSERTING AND EXTRACTING COMPONENT FOR OPTICAL CONNECTOR, OPTICAL CONNECTOR WITH WEDGE COMPONENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the assembly of an optical connector to the tip of an optical fiber to be realized simply and at a low cost. SOLUTION: An optical connector 3 is provided with a clamp part which holds an optical fiber between a pair of half-cut elements. Provided is an optical connector 1 with a wedge a component having a structure where a wedge inserting and extracting component 2 for the optical connector in which wedge 21 is wedged between elements of the clamp part beforehand and the elements are made open is attached to the optical connector plug 3. The wedge inserting and extracting component 2 for optical connector consists of a component 21 with the wedge in which the wedge 21 is projectingly provided and a separating component 23 which makes the component 21 with the wedge be separated from the optical connector 3 by being wedged between the component 21 with the wedge and the optical connector 3.
