PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water treatment apparatus which can be made small, for which expenses and power consumption are reduced and whose treatment efficiency is high. SOLUTION: The water treatment apparatus 20 is provided with a pair of electrodes 21, 22 disposed inside a treated water tank 11 connected with treated water pipes 2, 3 through which the treated water 4 flows, and a pulse electric power source 23 connected with a pair of electrodes 21, 22. Therein, bacteria contained in the treated water 4 are sterilized in the treated water tank 11 by applying a pulse voltage between the pair of the electrodes 21, 22 by using the pulse electric power source 23.
