PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method for inspecting fire fighting equipment by which for efficiently executing the inspection of the fire fighting equipment S required to be performed appropriately and surely is efficiently inspected. SOLUTION: A display device 34 and an input device 35 are connected to a control circuit 20 of the fire fighting equipment S. The device is privided with a program by which the control circuit 20 functions as a display means for displaying the inspection items of the fire fighting equipment S at the display device 34 for every procedure, as a confirmation means for confirming the execution of the inspection items displayed by the display device 34 by the input operation of the input device 35 and as an item switching means for switching the inspection items to be displayed at the display device 34 in an order on the basis of the execution confirmation, thereby performing the inspection according to the procedure displayed at the display device 34. The input device 35 is configured of a touch panel provided on the screen of the display device 34, and a display device 36 with the touch panel is constituted separately from a control board 20 and used by being connected to the control board 16 at the time of the inspection of the fire fighting equipment S.
